There is no recipe for how to make london fog iced. When you make other drinks hot or iced there is a recipe for how to make it. Because this drink does not exist in the official menu. With just a few exceptions like:Īnytime you will order iced london fog - you will get an interpretation of a person. Most of the drinks can be made iced or hot. Some people will try to make it but it is nonsense. You could just make a whole pitcher of it at home and then it’s ready when we you want it. Then pour it on ice and milk after it’s already chilled. I found that if you do it a few hours ahead of time it’s better to just brew the earl grey, sweeten it with sugar and vanilla (or vanilla syrup), and then refrigerate it so that it doesn’t melt the ice. Mix in sugar (and vanilla if you have it) and then dump it on ice and add milk. You just brew a strong earl grey tea with half the water. If you want to make it at home it’s actually really simple since with it being iced you really don’t need any special equipment. I wouldn’t recommend getting it at a busy store just because the chances for it being made wrong will be that much higher. Lots of baristas don’t even realize we have it officially on the menu now (because it wasn’t an official recipe several years ago) so they aren’t looking up the recipe for it because they don’t think there is an actual recipe so they’re just guessing at how to make it. Just keep in mind that because it’s a more complex recipe and it’s less commonly ordered, the chance that you’ll have it made wrong is very high. Not just because it’s a pain, but because it also increases the wait time for all the other customers in line too.īut on the other hand, it really is a delicious drink when made right. It’s not as big a deal when we’re not busy, but when we are busy it’s one of the worst orders to get.
